Hi! My name is Susan Duong and I am an International Business major, minoring in Design at UC San Diego. I have had positions related to marketing and graphic design that have led to my love for visual design today! My goal in VDA at the beginning was to grow my visual design skills and to learn how to be more intentional with my designs, as well as learning how to use various softwares.
Throughout this program, I have worked on four different assignments that helped me develop visual design skills ranging from brand design to UI design to social media graphic design!
Suztoons is an Instagram account I created where I post comics that I illustrate! Suz derives from the nickname my sister calls me and toons is because of my art style being cartoon-like. I plan to open a stationery shop soon, so this logo may be used for packaging purposes. As for colors, I feel that bright/pastel colors represent my bubbly self.

Cowtopia is a novelty app inspired my project idea that I’m currently doing for one of my classes! A short description of this app is that when a user completes a personal task they input into the app, such as journaling for the day, they get to raise a cow. I kept the color palette minimal due to the colors of a cow and for simplicity.

The concept revolves around Moon Goddess reminding me of the Moon Festival in terms of Mooncake, so I created a bunny with a crown as the mascot for the festival.

I wanted to do something fun and cute, so I illustrated a sticker of my favorite plushie that I won from a claw machine while I was out with my boyfriend!
